Wow – Jodie Anstead at Mummy Mayhem has created some amazing momentum for #bloggerswithoutmakeup this Friday. Her blog was so inspirational and has liberated us all to ditch the make up and bare our true selves for one day.
I, like many others have decided to “bare all” a little early and for the record I’m going to keep my nude image up for the rest of May.
Such a great idea and everyone looks stunning without their make up.
I did ask my Mike if he would take a “modest” photo of me blogging in the nude. He said “no”, actually he said “NO, HAVE YOU GONE COMPLETELY MAD? WHAT IS THIS NEW WORLD OF TWITTER DOING TO YOU?”. Oh well, I thought it was a good idea.
I have to say, a week ago I would never have put this photo on the internet – I too always looked for the best looking photo I could find. However, I showed it to my Mike and he said “you look beautiful”. That will do me just fine.
Here is a beautiful song to sum up the essence of what we are all doing. Watch the clip and listen – it is beautiful.
Have an awesomely natural woman day!
Can I say how lovely you look? I am consistently startled when I click on my “naked” blog posts to see how lovely “my girls” all look!
I’m with Seraphim. you do look lovely, and I too am happily amazed by all the lovely naked posts!

Mike is right, you do look beautiful! 🙂
Another vote for the beauty that is the ‘naked’ Annie!
Frankly, don’t know why you all think you NEED makeup? Such beautiful faces and smiles!
After years in retail, including fashion, I’ve got totally out of the habit in the last few years…so I can’t go nude ‘cos I usually am! Maybe I need to come out as a woman of colour instead of my usual B&W self (profile pic), in solidarity…lol. 🙂
You look gorgeous as always Annie. I’m thinking I should do a pic with makeup since I never wear it lol
Mike was right. You do look beautiful. How great adding the song! Gorgeous.

Beautiful! I have to admit I love wearing my glasses as I feel a little less naked without them. You have beautiful skin!

Beautiful.
You are truly beautiful 🙂
Mike was definitely right. Beautiful. And rather talented at selfies, by the look of it.
You look fabulous! You should keep your picture up indefinitely.
The lady at the Myers cosmetics counter, a few years ago,
on our approach asked what we were looking for?
“A Deep Red Revlon!” my friend exclaimed as I’d
offered to purchase one for her as she truly enjoyed
“the warpaint”, at the time.
On the ‘earing of the price I let out a,
“I’m not paying $40.00 for a lipstick!!!”,
possibly not at regulatory store’ volume.
The poor retail assistant slightly flinched,
not a good look in a fashion area, and
realising it was another of those “Take us
anywhere but out,” situations looming I quizzed
my friend on what she had and we decided to go
halves in her “beautifier.”
The assistant, sale finalised, was mildly sedated
with the epinephrine etc that releases I hear on
a good retailer making a sale, or so I am told.
That was a long time ago, thank heavens, and since
my friend enjoys little need or want for a head-dress of gloss
and colour, the times I see her, and she always looks good,
as do they all.
I am glad it continues.
Beautiful.
Gorgeous shot, and you look fabulous. Your Mike was right on the money.
Love it! You look just like a natural woman – beautiful.
